Mushtaq Dar is an Advocate enrolled with the Bar Council of Jammu & Kashmir and Ladakh (AIBE Qualified), practising in the Litigation & ADR team at IMR Law Offices under the guidance of Advocate Viqas Malik, Partner – Litigation & ADR. He regularly appears before the High Court of Jammu & Kashmir and Ladakh and before the District Courts of Srinagar and Budgam. He began his litigation career at the District Courts of Anantnag and Kulgam, where he handled land, succession, and commercial matters.
His litigation practice covers civil disputes, land and revenue matters, property litigation, and commercial disputes. He is a CADRE Certified Arbitrator registered with ODR platforms, through which he has adjudicated loan financing and commercial disputes, and independently handles arbitration proceedings.
Mushtaq is also a registered Trademark Attorney with IP India (Attorney Code: 42874), advising startups, businesses, and content creators on trademark filing, opposition proceedings, brand protection, copyright compliance, and IP licensing.
At IMR Law Offices, he has advised 25+ startups and SMEs on commercial contracts, legal structuring, and regulatory compliance. His transactional work includes drafting NDAs, service agreements, hotel management agreements, franchise deeds, and lease agreements, as well as property documentation such as sale deeds and NGDRS registrations.
